Graduation Celebration

I just spent a weekend in Tampa for karate, and I feel so refreshed now. But instead of getting back on track with my homework, I just finalized my post-graduation plans. The Monday after the ceremony, my friend and I are taking a cruise to Key West and Cozumel. I can't wait! Both are such fun stops!

In the short term, I have to write up a case study, write an annotated bibliography, start my promotions for our golf tournament and get back on track with my independent study. Plus career fair this week, coming up with a dinner for Valentine's Day (which I don't like on principle) and go to karate (open tournament is coming up next month)

Crazy! But at least I am not sick anymore!

I love studying-- Just kidding.

So, I have my first exam Monday and I'm feeling nervous. It's for my American History class and that means I've got to know my facts. Compared to the majority of college exams, it's a pretty small one based off the amount of materials that are being covered-- I've only got to learn four chapters. Although, with the subject of history every page of every chapter has important information that needs to be learned. Fortunately, I've been pacing myself. I've been studying a little bit each night for the past couple of weeks.

In high school, my middle name was procrastination and I was not about to take that name with me to college. I think that learning to not procrastinate until the day before the exam was definitely a revelation for me. In the past, when I would procrastinate until the last possible moment I would feel overwhelmed and just give up all together. It's definitely not an option to give up in college. Pacing myself has allowed me time to actually comprehend the information I've studied and has taken the stress that I used to feel away.

Well, I'm off to the library to study some more!
